Welcome to the team, Jasmine!

Welcome to the team graphic - Jasmine

Hi everyone! I’m really pleased to introduce myself as one of the newest faces here at DPAS. I’m Jasmine (or Jazz as most people call me), and I’ve joined the team as Marketing Executive. I can’t wait to get stuck into creating fresh, engaging ways to share our work, showcase our expertise, and help educate our audience on all things data protection.

A bit about me

I recently graduated from Cardiff University with a degree in Business Management, where I also spent a year as a marketing intern. This hands-on experience, combined with my studies, really sparked my love for marketing, particularly the blend of strategy and creativity – an aspect I’m eager to dive deeper into.

Outside of work, I’m a huge music fan. I’ve already discovered some fellow enthusiasts in the team, so I’m really looking forward to sharing songs and artists, discovering everyone’s hidden talents, and maybe even taking a turn as the office DJ! I also love to perform myself, occasionally singing at weddings and other events.

As for the all-important DPAS question: yes, I am very much a dog person! I have a sprocker spaniel called Reggie, though I doubt he’ll be making an office appearance anytime soon… let’s just say the other office pups have far better manners.

Why DPAS?

My interest in data protection started during my degree, when I based my digital marketing portfolio on cookie consent and the use of third-party data and consumer behaviour tracking in display advertising. I found it really fascinating – not just the technical side, but how it impacts people and organisations in real, everyday ways.

So when I spotted the opportunity at DPAS, it instantly felt like the right fit. This role feels like a perfect blend of my passions and interests, combining my marketing skills, love for creativity, and enthusiasm for making complex topics simple and engaging, while being part of an industry that’s constantly evolving.

What I’m looking forward to…

I’m really looking forward to being a part of such a knowledgeable, close-knit team and contributing to the amazing work DPAS is already doing to help organisations and individuals keep up with the dynamic data protection landscape. I’m especially excited about shaping how we share our insights, updates, and services, making sure our communications reflect not just our expertise, but our approachable, supportive way of working.

Exciting things ahead!
