Do you want a certification that demonstrates your competence to safely develop and deploy AI? Are you looking for a credential to prove that you can use this emerging technology to your business’s advantage in an ethical and responsible way?
If so, take this two-day course. It’s designed to teach you critical AI concepts that are integral to the AIGP exam. With artificial intelligence advancing every day, and becoming more and more widespread, it’s crucial that anybody in charge of its development and management has the knowledge to do so in accordance with any applicable data protection laws, and with minimal risk.
The course is also interactive, so you will be encouraged to ask questions throughout, and can share your real-world experiences with other attendees, discussing issues and ideas to help them within their role. You’ll also talk through real-life practice scenarios to aid with your learning, giving you a proper hands-on approach.

We’ll provide you with one of our highly skilled live trainers for the duration of the course. These experts currently work as DPOs or consultants, so can train you using real examples from their experience in the industry, ensuring the course is practical and reliable.
We don’t just deliver courses, and leave you to it. We provide you access to our online portal – which contains dozens of useful tools, templates, audits, policies, and more – all available for you to use within your organisation. This includes Mastering AI: A Guide for Data Protection Practitioners, written by DPAS founder Nigel Gooding.
At DPAS we’re conscious of our environmental impact. We therefore provide you with all the relevant reading materials, sample papers and courseware, online, prior to the course. This way, you can download and reuse these whenever you want.
Our trainers are here to help you. We will provide you with mentor support for one month after the course, to assist with any queries or issues you may have.
Though our courses are virtual, you’ll still be fully involved by participating in breakout sessions, asking questions, and sharing your experiences. You can receive valuable advice from peers in the industry, network with other delegates, and make worthwhile connections.

This course is primarily aimed at DPOs and data protection professionals whose job performance would be enhanced with the increased understanding of artificial intelligence and the risks it poses to data privacy.

The DPAS Training Manager will set you up on the dedicated MyIAPP portal which is where you will be able to access all training material, sample questions, and book your exam. To access this you will be sent a link directly from the IAPP.
You can take your exam at any time that suits you, but please note there is a time limit of 12 months from your account activation to sit the exam.
The exam itself is held at a Pearson VUE test centre. You will be able to book this via your MyIAPP account. The exam is a 3-hour closed book multiple choice exam (with a 15 minute break). The pass rate is 70/100 (70%).
If you have a disability or English is not your first language you may be entitled to extra time, further information can be found on the MyIAPP portal.

All our courses are tutor-led by experienced data protection professionals.
You will need access to Zoom throughout the course.
All courses will commence at 9:00am and will finish at 4:00pm.
Breaks will be scheduled throughout the day. (If you need to attend a meeting during the day, please discuss this with the trainer so they can tie this into allocated breaks.)
You will be sent a link – via email to the Zoom meeting two to three weeks prior to the course. (Please ensure that you are able to access this before the course commences.)
